Equal Opportunities
Just 7% of people with a master’s degree come from disadvantaged backgrounds. By raising awareness about roles in digital and tech, and by supporting young people from underprivileged communities, we can help level the playing field when it comes to accessing training and employment, especially in the IT sector.
Our commitment
At Hardis Group, we are committed to helping shape a fairer, more equal society in which young people from disadvantaged backgrounds have the same integration opportunities as everyone else.
- By promoting training and support for young people from disadvantaged backgrounds, in order to provide social advancement opportunities for those with the right talent and skills.
- By building partnerships with charities and non-profits to promote careers in tech, and by supporting young people from underprivileged communities.
Actions
We work with partners in the sector in pursuit of a common goal: to help ensure that young people from disadvantaged communities are not limited in their career opportunities on account of their background:
- By providing opportunities for the long-term unemployed to gain digital skills, including as a premium sponsor of coding school 42 Lyon Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes.
- By working with high schools, charities and nonprofits to raise awareness about careers in tech, as well as with our ecosystem of partner schools, customers, and other partners.
- By helping young people from disadvantaged backgrounds transition into the world of work through our partnerships with charities and non-profits such as Télémaque.
- By supporting people looking to retrain for roles in the tech industry by sharing our experience of available career paths, delivering skills-building workshops, and helping them put together a career plan.
- By working to attract more women into the digital sector—especially those looking to retrain—through our backing for DesCodeuses.
