Disability
In 2023, there were 12 million people with disabilities in France. Some 80% of reported disabilities are invisible, and 85% occur in adulthood. People with disabilities sometimes find it difficult to integrate into society. At Hardis Group, we are committed to making it easier for them to fit in—socially and in the workplace.
Our Commitment
Help people with disabilities integrate into society, including through work opportunities at Hardis Group and with our partners:
- By expanding our internal disability policy and by raising awareness about the integration and recruitment of people with disabilities among our employees and managers.
- By partnering with and sourcing from disability-friendly nonprofits and companies.
- By working to promote social integration and to improve quality of life for people with disabilities.
Our priorities
For Hardis Group:
- Build a workforce that reflects society and apply non-discriminatory hiring practices.
- See diversity as a source of growth and enrichment.
- Help employees and managers integrate people with disabilities.
- Be a responsible employer.
For employees:
- Feel welcomed and appropriately integrated.
- See colleagues’ diversity as a source of enrichment.
For job applicants/schools/partners:
- Become an employer known for its disability-friendly recruitment and integration practices.
Actions
Creating links with partner schools in order to present ourselves as a responsible employer, and to recruit and attract people with disabilities.
Working with disability-friendly partners, charities, nonprofits and companies in order to promote and maintain employment for people with disabilities.
Promoting social integration for people with disabilities through our sporting partnerships:
- Partnership with Florian Jouanny, French para-triathlete and para-road cyclist, and double gold medalist at the 2024 Paralympic Games. Hardis Group decided to support Florian financially to help him achieve his goals, and to enable him to share his values of commitment and courage with our people.
- Partnership with Anaïs Vincent, French para-cyclist, participant in the 2024 Paralympic Games, and two-time French champion (2023 and 2024).
- Partnership with the French Para Adapted Rugby Championship, held in May 2022.
- Partnership with Julien Grandjean and his team, Juju, for his June 2022 record of 304.19 km covered in 24 hours in the “Joëlette” (an all-terrain wheelchair for people with reduced mobility).
Partnership with the nonprofit Handi’Chiens: sponsoring a puppy through its 24 months of training until it is donated to a disabled person, and supporting the fostering of assistance dogs during their training.
