Back in February, we announced that Hardis Group had been appointed as the France ambassador for eCl@ss, a worldwide ISO/IEC-compliant data standard for uniform classification and description of industrial products, materials, components, systems, and services. The standard remains relatively unknown in France.

Helping manufacturers thrive in the industry 4.0 era

Industry 4.0 is one of the key issues facing manufacturers today and is a central feature of Hardis Group's strategy in the years ahead. We support our clients with industrial process transformation by helping them optimize their supply chains, manage structural changes to their production operations, and become better at selling to B2B and B2C customers.

The eCl@ss standard addresses many of challenges that industrial firms face in the industry 4.0 era, supporting standardized electronic data transfer all along the value chain—purchasing, production, sales, and more. The standard, a cornerstone of the industry 4.0 model, is already used by around 3,500 manufacturers, including leading names like Schneider, Renault, and Siemens. So it comes as no surprise that we were keen to join the 150-member organization.

7th eCl@ss CONGRESS 2019: September 18-19 in Cologne

The 7th eCl@ss CONGRESS will see manufacturers and industry connect with data management and analytics specialists for two days of networking and experience-sharing. The event will feature keynotes and sessions on a range of subjects, including the benefits of eCl@ss, feedback from manufacturers already using the standard, integration with ERP systems, and more. Experts from diverse backgrounds will share their knowledge and experience on industrial product, material, component, system, and service standardization.

Hardis Group: the exclusive France ambassador for eCl@ss

Camille Varrot, our Industry expert, will represent Hardis Group at the congress, giving an update on eCl@ss developments in France and explaining our role as the country ambassador. Camille will present a use-case in which Hardis Group used the eCl@ss standard with Schneider Electric, harnessing the power of machine learning to cut standardization costs.

The presentation, entitled “Speed Up Data Standardization Using Machine Learning”, will take place in Forum III at 10:35 am on September 19, 2019.
